For the main course, how about fillets of fresh dover sole wrapped around a black tiger prawn, or a large halibut steak chargrilled and served with creamy spinach mash?



Rack of Welsh lambIf you prefer meat, the options include rack of oven–roasted Welsh Lamb with a green herb crust on a bed of wilted spinach with a redcurrant jus, grills or home made steak, mushroom and ale pie. There’s also a good selection of vegetarian and pasta dishes, children’s meals and lighter options such as smoked salmon and prawn salad or a sun blush tomato, black olive and basil tartlet.



Chocolate fudge cakeThen there are the superb desserts — chocolate fudge nut cake with warm rum custard, for example, or baked lemon and raisin cheesecake — or you could opt for the selection of Welsh and continental cheeses. At lunchtime only, there’s also a good choice of ciabatta melts, jacket potatoes and toasted soft rolls.
