12. VILLA MARIA SAUVIGNON BLANC £ 15.95
Most Sauvignon Blanc used to be grown in Bordeaux where it still produces fine, if expensive, wine. The grape however travels well and now makes excellent wine all over the New World, notably New Zealand where Villa Maria is made. A very fruity dry white with hints of gooseberries, apples and more tropical fruits.
13. CALITERRA SAUVIGNON BLANC £ 12.25
Like most Chilean wines this Sauvignon Blanc is a huge improvement on what was available only 10 years ago. This wine is full of delicious fruit flavours. A lighter Sauvignon Blanc than that typical of New Zealand it offers excellent
value for money.

16. ERRAZURIZ CHARDONNAY £ 13.25
Another lovely wine from Chile. This really is a very elegant chardonnay and is so full of tropical fruits on the palate and in the bouquet that we have to put it in the medium/aromatic section rather than in the dry category where most chardonnays belong. Superb value and can be enjoyed as an aperatif or with food.
